既読で跳ねた心臓

好きな人にメッセージを送った。何度も文面を直して、絵文字の数を調整して、やっと送信ボタンを押した。既読がつくまでの時間が永遠に感じる。知らせが来るたびに手もとを確認してしまう。違う、別のアプリだった。仕事に集中できない。そして既読がついた瞬間、心臓が跳ねる。まだ返信は来ていない。でも、読んでくれた。わたしの言葉が、きみに届いた。返信を待つ時間もドキドキする。小さな既読マークひとつで、こんなに幸せになれる。恋してるって、こういうことだ。返信が来たらもっとうれしい。来なくても、読んでくれたことは消えない。今日は既読がついた日。それだけでいい日だった。
